Welcome to Nibhollow, a site where writers publish serial fiction and readers follow, rate, review and comment on it. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Nibhollow.

1. Who can use Nibhollow

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the site.
• You must be at least 18 years old to view stories rated Mature. By confirming the 18+ prompt you're telling us you are 18 or older.
• If you're under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian is okay with you using the site.
• You're responsible for your account and for keeping your password secret. One person per account; don't impersonate anyone.

2. Your content stays yours

You keep the copyright and all other rights in the stories, chapters, covers, reviews and comments you post ("your content"). We don't claim ownership.

To run the site, you give Nibhollow a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, format, display and distribute your content on the site (and in things like previews, search results and feeds that point back to it). This license is only for operating and promoting the site. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for reasonable backup copies that age out, and content others have already quoted in their own comments or reviews.

You promise you own your content or have permission to post it, and that posting it doesn't break these Terms or the law. Fan fiction is welcome, but you are responsible for it, and rights holders can still ask us to remove it (see our Copyright & DMCA policy).

3. Content ratings

Authors must rate stories honestly as Everyone, Teen or Mature and add the relevant content warnings. Explicit sexual content, graphic violence and similar material must be rated Mature. We may change a rating that's clearly wrong.

4. What's not allowed

• Any sexual content involving minors. This includes written fiction, drawings and "aged-up" framing that still depicts minors sexually. Zero tolerance: we remove it, permanently ban the account, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law.
• Harassment, threats, bullying, hate directed at people or groups, doxxing (posting someone's private information), or encouraging self-harm.
• Spam, scams, ads you weren't allowed to post, fake accounts, manipulating ratings, views or reviews, or automated scraping that overloads the site.
• Illegal content or content that promotes illegal activity.
• Copyright or trademark infringement, plagiarism, and posting other people's work as your own.
• Malware, hacking attempts, or trying to get around bans, rate limits or security features.

5. Moderation, removal and bans

Use the Report button to flag content that breaks these Terms. We can review, hide or remove any content, change content ratings, and suspend or ban any account, with or without notice, if we believe it breaks these Terms, puts others at risk, or exposes Nibhollow to legal trouble. We aren't obligated to monitor everything posted, and we don't endorse user content.

6. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. That removes your account and your content as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer

Nibhollow is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. Content is created by users, and we're not responsible for it. Keep your own copies of your writing; we can't guarantee it will never be lost.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Nibhollow and its operator won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or from content posted by others. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

You agree to cover Nibhollow's reasonable costs if a claim against us arises from content you posted or your breach of these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state courts located in Creek County, Oklahoma, or the federal courts for the Northern District of Oklahoma, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. If the changes are significant, we'll post a notice on the site. Continuing to use Nibhollow after changes means you accept them.
